Compliance Officer – Leeds

Location: Leeds City Centre Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 depending on experience Contract: Permanent, Full-time (Hybrid working available)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our established financial services firm in Leeds. You’ll play a crucial role in our Compliance team, ensuring the business meets its regulatory obligations while supporting commercial objectives. This is a key position with visibility across the organization and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and risk assessments
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
  • Provide compliance advice and training to business units
  • Manage regulatory relationships and correspondence
  • Investigate potential breaches and recommend remedial actions
  • Stay current with regulatory developments and assess business impact

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in financial services compliance
  • Thorough knowledge of FCA regulations and requirements
  • Understanding of financial crime, AML and KYC procedures
  • Experience conducting compliance monitoring activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Professional qualification in compliance or relevant field (desirable)
